Ba-bee Classes

Ba-bees in Motion

(newborn-early walkers)

Classes designed to help you learn strategies and techniques to teach ba-bee to move mindfully and purposefully. Although this is a group class, individual needs will be targeted to support feeding, physical, and milestone needs. Understanding and supporting baby’s movement sets a strong foundation to meet developmental milestones as well as integrating reflexes at the developmentally appropriate times. Alyssa has experience in Craniosacral Therapy, Infant Reflex Integration, Infant Massage, and Intraoral Assessment and will share information that helps babies feel good in their bodies. Common props will be used to show stretches, positions, and touch techniques so parents can use this information in their home settings. While there is no age restriction, this may be most beneficial for pre-walkers.

Open Play

(up to early walkers/18ish mo.)

A group designed to support seasoned parents with other bee(s) at home who just added to their hive. While you’re welcome to come to other groups instead, the information, strategies and camaraderie in this group may meet your needs best. Ideally the same cohort would meet over 6 weeks either with or without toddlers and/or babies. Traditional “play places” don’t usually support families with the +/- 2 under two age gap where you can feel comfortable with your toddler playing while simultaneously bonding with your new ba-bee. The Apiary offers it all of this! We will help you either spend time with your big bee (who may be craving your 1-to-1 attention extra since a new bee has entered the villa) or do all the baby things that your new ba-bee requires. This is a low pressure space to just bee as you transition into a bigger phase of life with more moving pieces.

The Apiary has been lovingly created and curated for babies 0-18(ish) months. There are a plethora of props, toys, and equipment you may or may not have at home but we find positively affect baby's development and are happy to share with you. An hour of open play is built in to the price of each group as we hope you will continue to enjoy our space. You can use our resources in the common room, snuggle up on our couch with drinks+snacks we offer, or take some time in the private quiet room where you can center yourself with or without baby. Ideally you'll have the time to stroll around the harbor to drink, shop, dine, and enjoy the setting for a walk.
